drops As a follow up to my folic acid deficiency article from last week, I
decided to spotlight Liquid Health’s Vitamin B-12 drops. Besides both being
B vitamins, these two important vitamins show similar symptoms if you are
suffering from a deficiency of either. Aside from wanting to prevent a B12
deficiency, there are many benefits to taking a liquid form B12 [1].
Additionally vitamin B12 is necessary for many bodily functions. I’ll
address the basics about Vitamin B12 in today’s spotlight. Vitamin B12 is a
water-soluble vitamin, which generally means that the body doesn’t store
it. However, our body does store a few years’ worth of B12 in our liver.
Because of this, it is rare for someone to be deficient in vitamin B12.
People who are most likely to have a B12 deficiency are older individuals,
vegetarians, heavy drinkers and those who have undergone gastrointestinal
surgery. Someone with a B12 deficiency may exhibit some of the following
symptoms: increased or unexplained confusion, a harder than normal time
remembering or recalling information, decreased appetite, fatigue and
weakness and possibly tingling in your hands or feet. Taking a /liquid form
of B12/ can help someone who is suffering from B12 deficiency. The reason we
need vitamin B12 is because it is necessary for “proper red blood cell
formation, neurological function, and DNA synthesis” (from the Office of
Dietary Supplements.) In addition to its basic functions, vitamin B12 has
other beneficial uses. Vitamin B12 helps your body convert the carbs you eat
into glucose which directly affects your energy production. For this reason,
many people take *liquid form B12* as an energy booster. Vitamin B12 is also
taken to maintain healthy hair, skin and nails as well as protect against
heart disease and high blood pressure. There are many different forms of
Vitamin B12 available on the market today; however taking a liquid form B12
has many additional benefits. Taking any vitamin, mineral or nutrient in
liquid form increases the amount of vitamins your body is able to absorb,
thus increasing the chances you’ll see the results you are hoping for.
Vitamins in liquid form absorb better and easier because your body doesn’t
have to break down the pill or tablet. When your body has to digest a pill
you lose a percentage of the vitamin you’re taking in the digestion
process, making them less effective then desired. Liquid Health’s Vitamin
B-12 drops offer the benefits of a B12 supplement in an easy to administer
dropper bottle, making it a great option for someone looking to add Vitamin
B12 to their health routine.
